Rubik's cube, a Timex Sinclair 1000 computer and a Max Headroom candy dispenser.
Things you'd find at a flea market?
Things you'd find on eBay?
No, actually things you'd find on my desk.
Love or hate 'em, the 80s seem to have found a special place in our collective memory, whether we lived them or not. From the heyday of the 8-bit computer to the continuing craze to re-create the slasher movie, the 80s is here to stay, like it or not.
My occasional Twitter party which I call Friday Night 80s Party has now been turned into its own blog. It started out with tweeting music videos from the decade with occasional nostalgia and trivia tweets. So what's this blog about?
Well frankly I don't know. It's just an 80s tribute blog where I'll post stuff about those vintage computers, slasher and horror movies from the 80s, 80s video games, plus some articles on the music and artists from the period and what they might be up to now.
So put on that Walkman and stay tuned.
